The biggest practical challenge with this edition is the packaging. The box is… complicated. It’s layered with plastic inserts and folds in a way that makes pulling the deck out without bending cards nearly impossible. If it were simpler, I think the usability would be much better.

My Honest Thoughts

I absolutely love the artwork. It feels modern, clean, and intuitive — a very different vibe from traditional Rider‑Waite decks.

That said, I really think the card stock could be improved. The matte, papery feel means you have to baby the cards a bit, especially around water or oils from your hands.

Also… the box. Oh man. It is so hard to get the deck out without bending cards. That alone could be a dealbreaker for some people, especially if you like to carry your decks around and use the deck everyday.

But once you get past the packaging, the deck itself is solid and surprisingly powerful for everyday guidance. It’s truly a deck you can reach for daily without feeling intimidated.
