Loputyn Oracle is a hauntingly beautiful oracle deck created by Italian artist Loputyn.
Known for her ethereal, gothic-inspired illustrations, Loputyn brings a very distinct artistic voice into this deck—one that feels dreamy, melancholic, and deeply introspective.
This is a deck that leans heavily into emotion, atmosphere, and visual storytelling rather than rigid structure.
My First Impressions
I’ve been a fan of Loputyn for a while, so seeing her create an oracle deck felt like a full-circle moment.
The moment I got this deck in my hands, it felt exactly how I imagined it would—soft, dark, romantic, and deeply atmospheric. It carries that same signature style I’ve always loved in her work, but now in a format you can actually interact with.
This isn’t just a deck you look at—it’s one you experience.
The Artwork
The artwork is the heart of this deck and if you’re familiar with Loputyn, you already know how special that is.
✔ Soft, painterly illustrations
✔ Gothic, melancholic aesthetic
✔ Feminine figures with emotional depth
✔ Muted yet rich, moody color palette
Loputyn’s art style is instantly recognizable—delicate, dreamlike, and slightly haunting. There’s this quiet intimacy in her work, where every figure feels lost in their own world. Her use of soft shading, flowing lines, and subtle textures creates a sense of movement and emotion without being overwhelming.
Each card feels like a still moment from a story—something unspoken, something felt rather than explained. It’s the kind of artwork that invites you to pause, look closer, and let your intuition fill in the gaps.
Box, Card & Finish
The deck reflects the artist’s signature style in both presentation and quality.
✔ Smooth card stock
✔ Matte finish that complements the soft artwork
✔ Standard oracle size
✔ Sturdy box that keeps everything protected
The matte finish works beautifully here—it keeps the artwork soft and avoids glare, which really suits the muted tones of the deck.
Guidebook
The companion booklet is written by Alice Mastroleo and keeps things simple and intuitive
It includes:
✔ Spreads
✔ Light guidance for interpretation
✔ Space to lean into your own intuition
It is also translated into English, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese, making it accessible to a wider audience.
How the Deck Works
This is a free-flowing oracle deck that focuses on intuitive reading.
It includes:
✔ Open-ended imagery for personal interpretation
✔ Emotional and symbolic storytelling
✔ Flexible use for single pulls or spreads
✔ No strict system to follow
You’re meant to feel your way through the cards, rather than rely on fixed meanings.
Reading Style and Themes
The deck leans into:
✔ Introspection and inner worlds
✔ Emotional depth and vulnerability
✔ Feminine energy and softness
✔ Dreamlike, surreal storytelling
Readings tend to feel quiet, reflective, and deeply personal rather than direct or predictive.
Who It’s For
This deck is perfect for:
✔ Intuitive readers who rely on imagery and feeling
✔ Lovers of gothic, dreamy, and artistic decks
✔ Those who enjoy journaling and self-reflection
✔ Collectors who appreciate unique, art-driven decks
It may not be ideal if you prefer structured systems or very direct, keyword-based or action-prompted readings.
My Honest Thoughts
This deck feels like stepping into a dream.
It’s not loud, it’s not overly structured—it’s soft, emotional, and deeply immersive. I find myself slowing down when I use it, really taking time to absorb the imagery and what it’s trying to say.
If you’re someone who connects through feeling rather than formula, this deck will speak to you in a very real way.
That said, I do wish the guidebook went a bit deeper. I would have loved more detailed interpretations or even action prompts to help guide reflection—not everyone is immediately in that emotional or reflective headspace when they pick up a deck. Loputyn’s work is so delicate, surreal, and ethereal, and I feel like the guidebook didn’t quite capture that same depth and atmosphere.
It’s a beautiful deck, no doubt—but you really have to meet it halfway.
