Deck Spotlight: Oracle of the Celestial Deities by Letao Wang

by | Dec 18, 2024

Oracle of the Celestial Deities by Letao Wang is a spiritually rich deck that draws on divine archetypes, celestial symbolism, and higher guidance. It presents itself as both an oracle and a tool for connecting with elevated energies, offering messages that feel expansive, reflective, and often deeply personal.

My First Impressions

Right away, this deck feels intentional and immersive. There’s a quiet depth to it. It doesn’t rush to give answers, but instead invites you to slow down and really sit with the messages. And you already know I love Greek mythology, so the moment I saw this deck, I gots to have it. The whole concept immediately pulled me in.

The Artwork

Illustrated by Nithiroje P., the artwork is bold, striking, and… let’s be real, full of hot bodies, abs, and glory. There’s a strong divine-meets-human energy in the visuals, where celestial beings are portrayed with power, beauty, and presence. It leans into that sculpted, almost mythological ideal, which makes every card feel dramatic and captivating. At the same time, the celestial elements keep it from feeling too grounded, giving it that elevated, otherworldly vibe. It’s definitely a deck that will catch your eye and keep your attention.

Box, Card & Finish

The deck feels sturdy and well-made overall. The cards have a smooth finish and the box design complements the theme nicely, giving it that “sacred object” feel.

That said… the deck is huge. If you’ve got chibi hands like me, shuffling might be a bit of a challenge at first.

Depending on your preference, some might find the cards slightly large, but it does work in its favor since it really lets the detailed artwork shine.

Guidebook

The guidebook is actually pretty well-rounded and thoughtfully done. It includes instructions on how to use the deck, along with guidance on building your own relationship with the cards, which I always appreciate, especially for beginners or anyone new to deity work.

It also comes with spreads to help you get started, which makes it feel more interactive and beginner-friendly.

Each card has its own dedicated meaning, and I love that it also includes the associated zodiac sign and crystals for each Greek deity. On top of that, the interpretations are divided into sections like The Teaching, Career, and Love, which makes it super easy to apply the messages to different areas of your life.

Overall, it’s informative without being overwhelming, and it gives you both structure and flexibility depending on how you like to read.

How the Deck Works

This is a free-flowing oracle deck that focuses on intuitive reading.

It includes:
✔ Open-ended imagery for personal interpretation
✔ Emotional and symbolic storytelling
✔ Flexible use for single pulls or spreads
✔ No strict system to follow

You’re meant to feel your way through the cards, rather than rely on fixed meanings.

Reading Style and Themes

The deck leans into:

✔ Introspection and inner worlds
✔ Emotional depth and vulnerability
✔ Feminine energy and softness (with a powerful twist)
✔ Dreamlike, surreal storytelling

Readings tend to feel more immersive and reflective, but with a strong, empowering edge. It’s not overly predictive. It’s more about embodying energy, stepping into power, and understanding deeper layers of self.

Who It’s For

This deck is perfect for:

✔ Intuitive readers who rely on imagery and feeling
✔ Lovers of bold, artistic, and deity-inspired decks
✔ Those who enjoy journaling and self-reflection
✔ Collectors who appreciate unique, art-driven decks

It may not be ideal if you prefer structured systems or very direct, keyword-based or action-prompted readings.

My Honest Thoughts

This deck is a moment. Visually, it’s stunning, bold, and unapologetically dramatic. If you’re someone who connects through imagery first, this will absolutely pull you in. The whole “hot bodies, abs, and glory” thing? Yeah… it delivers.

That said, it leans heavily into aesthetic and intuitive reading rather than structure. So if you’re someone who prefers clear, direct messages or a strong system, this might feel a little too open-ended at times. You really have to meet the deck halfway and trust your own interpretation.

I also won’t lie, the size can be a bit of a struggle (chibi hands, I see you), so it’s not the easiest deck to casually shuffle while multitasking. I do wish there was a pocket version so I could just grab it and go without feeling like I’m carrying a whole brick.

But overall? It’s a powerful, eye-catching, and immersive deck that feels like stepping into a divine fantasy. It’s one of those decks you reach for when you want to feel something, not just get an answer.
